Chloe Hickinbottom’s song choice “too old fashioned” says Simon

Simon Cowell, who was absent from the judging panel due to illness when Chloe Hickinbottom gave her stunning rendition of “White Cliffs of Dover”, has labelled the song choice as “too old fashioned”.
He told Bang Showbiz: “I would have asked her to sing something more contemporary.
“That is what happens when I am not on the show. The song was too old-fashioned.”
It will be interesting to see what Chloe’s song choice will be for the semi-final.

This is just the sort of act the Queen would love and with exactly the right choice of song. But seeing who has won his other show, X Factor, in the past it is not surprising really.

I think Simon should just let Chloe pick her own songs. I like the fact that Chloe picked an old song which girls her age wouldn’t, they would have picked something from Beyonce, Miley Syres, so on, which is to typical. Chloe has a very pretty voice & that song was perfect for her, I’ve never even heard that song nor Vera Lynn, but I like it now.
Simon is very likley to chose a Lady Gaga song for Chloes semi final . he has been quoted as saying that he would like a dog to win BGT this year . Chloe can give suggestions to BGT for her song choice , but Simon has the final say .
The irony of this situation is that the producers choose the songs, or the outfits or whatever, and then the judges criticise the choice!
Chloe will be on Britains Got Talent this saturday 15th may.
lets all wish her luck to get to the final 40 for the live semi final.
Simon can be brilliant, but sometimes, like in this instance he is totally daft! Is he ticked because he wasn’t present to discover this lovely talented child? I think she was great – song choice and voice! I hope she sees it right through to the finals!
